Kingswood Manor has only very recently come under the wing of Harbour Healthcare. Residents at this historic home, almost immediately, experienced the positive impact which belonging to a family run care group can bring. Bedrooms are now undergoing a programme of redecoration and updating and very recently the lounge and dining room has undergone extensive decorating and refurbishing. New chairs, sofas, sideboards and curtains have all been installed for residents comfort. The impact of these changes has been instant and the feedback given by residents, families and professionals has been fantastic.
Care in the home is led by a team of nursing staff and senior carers who are dedicated and experienced. This well trained team ensure that residents are cared for in a ‘resident centred’ way which ensures that residents needs and wishes are understood and recorded. This bespoke approach to resident care ensures high levels of resident satisfaction and quality. Kingswood Manor has a some of the small number of funded beds in Liverpool dedicated to high quality ‘end of life care’, which reflects the excellent standard of nursing care within the home. This service also has a dedicated specialist GP.
As you would expect, the home has a dedicated dining team to ensure that the menu consists of home cooked nutritious meals. Plus an activities coordinator to provide group activities and individual support with interests and hobbies. The availability of the Harbour Healthcare minibus ensures that the activities programme can be enhanced with trips to places of interest.
Visitors are always welcome to the home and car parking is available.
