Hilltop Court is a modern purpose built care home with a large patio and garden area. Our home is on the edge of a conservation area on the outskirts of Stockport town centre, enjoying fantastic views of the Stockport landmark, Hilltop Hall.
Mum has been there over 2 years and is so settled, she thinks she is in a hotel in the lakes!
Within this very popular home, we provide care and support to people living with dementia in 2 dedicated home environments, with interior space, colours and bedrooms all designed to help with difficulties associated with dementia. Interior design is similarly tailored to need, with striking colour contrasts, reminiscence aids, differentiated resident doors and appropriate signage.
Uniquely, Hilltop Court provides a gentleman only floor where excellent 24-hour residential and nursing care is delivered in a warm, welcoming and friendly environment. The rest of the home is a mixed environment but is equally well appointed.
Care is based on personalised care planning, and this individualised care plan is essential to ensure that each person we care for feels completely supported in every aspect of their lives The Care Quality Commission is the independent regulator for the care sector and during the most recent inspection, in April 2017, the home was rated as ‘Good’. Our team of qualified and dedicated staff attend to residents’ individual needs with professionalism and a caring attitude.
Residents within this home enjoy many varied activities and the inclusion of partners, friends and family is very much encouraged. Whether it be visits from Pets As Therapy husky dogs, Owl handling, visits from a donkey or karaoke evenings as well as interest and hobby based activities residents have the opportunity for fun and interaction! Activities specific to each individual are essential to enable our residents to get the most out of each and every day, and activities coordinators design programmes around individual needs.
Residents enjoy a varied menu of freshly prepared meals. Meal preparation is given close attention to ensure that those residents with special dietary needs enjoy equally appealing meals choices.
We would welcome you to call in and meet with our team or to call us for further information.

My mother moved into Hilltop Court on 20/02/2019. This was to be her fourth move in as many months after a very stressful period. Mum took some time to adjust to living at Hilltop Court, but the dedication of the staff played an important part in my mother's transition. I find all the team approachable and will listen to any concerns that the family express. Staffing levels are very good at all times to my knowledge. Activities are excellent, and the overall approach to supporting people with dementia is very good.
