The Granby Care Home recently welcomed local residents, community organisations and support services for its Harrogate Community Connections Fair, an event designed to strengthen community links and raise awareness of the wide range of support available across the local area.

Held in the home’s historic Ballroom, the fair brought together a diverse range of organisations, offering visitors the opportunity to explore local services, access advice and connect with groups that play an important role in supporting the Harrogate community.

Organisations attending the event included Able to Enable, Full Circle Funeral Services, Specsavers, Move It or Lose It Exercise Group, Occupational Therapy, St Michael’s Hospice, U3A Harrogate, Realise Training, TAO Staffing Solutions, Cucumber Recruitment and our own recruitment team.

The event also welcomed the Mayor of Harrogate, who spent time meeting stall holders, speaking with visitors and learning more about the valuable work being carried out by organisations across the region.

Throughout the afternoon, visitors had the opportunity to discover local services, ask questions, gather information and make new connections in a welcoming and relaxed environment. The event reflected The Granby Care Home’s ongoing commitment to opening its doors to the wider community and creating opportunities for people to come together.

We would like to thank every organisation, volunteer and visitor who contributed to the event and helped create an afternoon focused on community, collaboration and connection.
