Our philosophy is actually quite simple: We strive to provide an excellent standard of care to our residents, treating them with complete dignity and respect.
All our homes are decorated and presented to a high standard and have excellent facilities to serve the needs of residents. Our homes and gardens are clean, very well presented, and homely. We attract people into our staff teams who have ‘serving hearts’ – people who really care about the people who live with us. Our people have won the gratitude and respect not only of our residents but also of family members and health professionals.
We provide care to those who need support or companionship to ensure that all needs are met, no matter what they might be.
We provide nursing care for those who require the extra care and support of a skilled & fully qualified nurse available to them 24hrs a day.
Our teams are trained to care for our residents with dementia and how stimulating environments, activities and interactions are essential.
We provide support for those with mental health needs who may require care and support with medication and daily living
Our highly skilled nurse teams and Home Managers work with local healthcare experts to provide 24-hour specialist end of life care.
We take away the fears about personal security and care that can often affect the quality of life of young disabled people

Madison Court provided a caring environment for my mother. From my first visit, I was impressed by the engagement of staff at all levels, from the willingness of management to give detailed personal updates on my mother's wellbeing during periods while I was away overseas, to the attention and kindness that individual staff paid her in her day-to-day care and the staff clearly knew her well. the home is embedded in its community with visits from local school children and other groups. Unfortunately, my mother's residence here coincided with the Covid-19 pandemic. Madison Court took very early action, including closing to all visitors some weeks before the national lockdown in March. Despite these efforts, a handful of residents caught the disease and my mother passed away due to it. The staff went above and beyond in order to support my mother. They were proactive in anticipating and providing for all her needs and were wonderful in the way they would comfort her, holding her hand and stroking her hair. We were able to video call every day for an hour or so. The staff are passionate about their vocation and care for the residents. I would highly recommend Madison Court.

I have a family member within Elburton Heights, and these last few months have demonstrated just how wonderful they are. The management team have worked so hard to support each resident, but just as importantly, they have supported us, families, too. Personal letters, cards, photos and videos all personal from the manager who has made so many changes and amazing remained is connected. Can't thank you enough.

I have been highly impressed by Bentley Manor. The home has a welcoming and friendly feeling from the moment you arrive. This atmosphere is radiated even through the window visits, which the home strive to make possible during recent circumstances. The staff are driven and are fully supportive of the residents. The service which they provided for us was exemplary. The management team are incredibly supportive, approachable and friendly. The home appeared to be clean, tidy and safe. I would undoubtedly recommend Bentley Manor.

My father was moved to Treetops Nursing Home three weeks prior to his passing. I am so grateful for the dignified way in which he was treated. He felt an affinity with his carers, and even mentioned his appreciation of them in his last moments. His stay at Treetops was relatively short, but all of the family are most appreciative of the quality of care and the attention to detail that our father received. In these difficult times, we were able to keep in touch via telephone with our father, and the staff were really accommodating. They really could not do enough to make us all feel comfortable with the treatment he received during his final few weeks of life.

My mum has been at the Devonshire in Plymouth since March. Both before and after lockdown, they have cared for her extremely well, showing her respect, dignity and love. They have handled the lockdown extremely well, using full PPE and working hard to reassure Mum and explain why I can't visit her, which has been extremely hard for both of us. Their care has given me a lot of comfort during these trying times and we are able to see each other on-screen calls whenever I want. Mum did have a couple of falls, but the staff rang me promptly to let me know and reassured me that she was being well cared for. I cannot thank them enough for their care and compassion.

When looking for a home for my mum it was the most depressing time of my life. I thought I was a failure to her and I was letting her down. I went around lots of care homes and hated everyone. I treated it as I was moving in, I needed that feeling you get when you buy a house and you know it’s the “one.” Well I felt it at The Old Vicarage, my heart skipped and I knew my mum would be safe, cared for, and looked after. I waited for a while until a vacancy was available. My mum has been there 3 years now and that feeling I had then is still there, love this place, thank you to all the staff for making this the best decision I’ve ever had.

The team at Peel Moat are amazing under the present circumstances of Covid-19 they have gone beyond exceptional. They are all Heros and Angels. Mum is very happy, very much cared for, enjoying "The Hotel" as she calls it, loves the food, everyone who looks after her needs, her room, the garden basically she nor I can find fault with anything. She enjoyed the activities available until the lockdown happened. I cannot be happier with the team at Peel Moat. Thanks to all.

Before the arrival of COVID-19, the home was well run and my wife was lovingly cared for by skilled and dedicated staff, and I was able to observe this when I was welcomed into the home on my more or less daily visits. Since the arrival of COVID-19, l can’t think of the team at Kingswood Mount without welling up. Their courage and dedication have been absolutely gobsmacking. Despite the additional procedures they have to observe (without the support of colleagues who were taken ill), they have maintained their courtesy and positivity throughout. My wife is confined to bed with advanced dementia. I feared that, without frequent extended one-to-one visits, her mental condition would rapidly deteriorate. Now that limited visits are permitted again, l am amazed to find my fears were unjustified. How the staff managed this just seems miraculous! I’m very glad of this opportunity to express my profound gratitude to the whole team at Kingswood Mount. You’re all amazing.

My father has been a resident for almost 2 years after he suffered a series of stokes which left him unable to communicate and severely disabled. On my first visit to Kingswood Manor after being shown around and given some expert help from their admin staff I just knew that it was the best place for my dad to be. The staff are amazing, they are like family to the residents and they couldn't do enough for them. They have fabulous activities and even during lockdown I can rest assured that my dad is getting the safest and best care I could possibly hope for. As hard as it's been not visiting him the events coordinator has gone above and beyond to facilitate calls and window visits and the carers nurses and all the staff have been helping entertain the residents and do their hair and nails, they should all be very proud of what they have accomplished. I am so happy my dad was lucky enough to get a place here so a big thank you to everyone at Kingswood you are an amazing team.

Dad was discharged from the hospital following a car accident. He was pleased to be able to go to Hilltop Hall because he had known it from visiting friends there and he was well looked after from start to finish. The staff who cared for him were excellent; we couldn't have asked for more and any issues which he raised were dealt with promptly and fairly by the management team at the home. My sister and I were very pleased with that he had a regular care team who got to know him, and us; that really helped. And the ability to personalise his room was really helpful too. Although we weren't able to visit him during his last days because of Government restrictions (the options which we were offered were appreciated but wouldn't really have worked for Dad if he'd even been able to be aware of our presence), the support and information that we received was very good and made a tough time as good as it could be. Thanks.
