Built over 3 floors, the home has a dedicated floor for general nursing care, residential dementia care and another for dementia nursing care. All rooms are designed for single occupancy and all have en-suite bathrooms which include showers. The home has two large lounges on the ground floor with one dedicated specifically to resident activities, whether that may be craft, music, baking or any other interest a resident may have. Lounges are spacious, comfortable and homely for residents and their families to enjoy.
The enclosed patio garden area is used for activities, entertainment (when the weather is being kind) and to plant and grow both flowers and vegetables! Even the neighbours come in the home to compliment the flower displays on the patios. That means so much! There are big plans for the outside areas, to include the planting of fruit trees and extension of the raised bed areas, order to make gardening more accessible to many more residents.
Madison Court is participating in a number of community and wider national initiatives which gives residents involvement in the world beyond the front door of the home. The activities team and residents attend three dementia cafes locally as well as getting involved in packing shoe boxes for ‘Operation Christmas Child’ and have been a collecting point for charitable aid for the homeless. Apart from the good deeds the residents are involved in, their busy activity programme includes scheduled activities to take residents to rugby matches, bingo and tea dances as well as entertainment within the home. The activity provision in the home is ‘second to none’.
Madison Court Care Home is a purpose-built care home.

Madison Court provided a caring environment for my mother. From my first visit, I was impressed by the engagement of staff at all levels, from the willingness of management to give detailed personal updates on my mother's wellbeing during periods while I was away overseas, to the attention and kindness that individual staff paid her in her day-to-day care and the staff clearly knew her well. the home is embedded in its community with visits from local school children and other groups. Unfortunately, my mother's residence here coincided with the Covid-19 pandemic. Madison Court took very early action, including closing to all visitors some weeks before the national lockdown in March. Despite these efforts, a handful of residents caught the disease and my mother passed away due to it. The staff went above and beyond in order to support my mother. They were proactive in anticipating and providing for all her needs and were wonderful in the way they would comfort her, holding her hand and stroking her hair. We were able to video call every day for an hour or so. The staff are passionate about their vocation and care for the residents. I would highly recommend Madison Court.
