The Old Vicarage & The Willows Care Home - Warrington
The best of care in the best of homes…
Welcome to The Old Vicarage and The Willows Care Home which are located in Burtonwood, just outside of Warrington. Enjoying fantastic countryside views you don’t have to look too far to spot some wildlife! The hens in the garden are popular with residents and Lottie the cat is as much part of this home as anyone else!
This ever popular care home is able to offer the best of care in all areas of the home. Rated as ‘Good’ in its latest CQC inspection The Old Vicarage offers both residential and nursing care and The Willows Care Home offers high quality dementia care. Staff teams are dedicated to their own areas and know their residents well, this has been the key to providing the best of person centred care. Every resident has a care plan which very carefully details their own individual care needs and choice, dignity and independence are very much in mind when our residents are cared for.
The Old Vicarage is a home with real character and there are no two rooms the same, however all are beautifully decorated and some have en-suites. The large lounges and dining areas are bright and newly decorated and offer space for activity and events to take place and for everyone to join in.
A very active home with opportunities for residents to enjoy trips out and special events and activities, the activity go ‘above and beyond’ the usual activities programme. In the summer of 2016 some of our residents enjoyed a holiday with the team in Blackpool! Standards of hospitality are also high and residents enjoy a varied home cooked menu, always with an option to choose alternatives, if needed.

When looking for a home for my mum it was the most depressing time of my life. I thought I was a failure to her and I was letting her down. I went around lots of care homes and hated everyone. I treated it as I was moving in, I needed that feeling you get when you buy a house and you know it’s the “one.” Well I felt it at The Old Vicarage, my heart skipped and I knew my mum would be safe, cared for, and looked after. I waited for a while until a vacancy was available. My mum has been there 3 years now and that feeling I had then is still there, love this place, thank you to all the staff for making this the best decision I’ve ever had.
