Ty Gwynno Care Home | Residential, Nursing & Dementia Care in Pontypridd

Ty Gwynno care home offers residential, nursing, dementia and palliative care to up to 46 older people from respite stays to a long-term residence in the beautiful Rhondda Valley in Pontypridd, Wales.

    About Ty Gwynno

The home is just outside the town centre, with a bus route into the high street where residents can enjoy shops and amenities. It is also half an hour’s drive from Cardiff. The home is in a quiet residential area with stunning views over the surrounding countryside.

Ty Gwynno is cheerfully decorated throughout it’s lounge and dining areas and it’s conservatory. Each bedroom is single occupancy and has a television point and WiFi, with a lift to bedrooms on the first floor. There is a large landscaped garden with a seated patio area.

Our beautifully appointed private rooms are spacious and comfortable.  Many have views of our gardens and the surrounding hills. We encourage anyone coming to live here to personalise their rooms and ensure those cherished memories are captured in special photos and belongings.

Our team really have our residents at the heart of all they do. We have a huge breadth of skills and experience to ensure our residents receive the best care possible.

Everyone working at, living at or visiting Ty Gwynno becomes part of our family and is supported in every way.

An activities coordinator organises a weekly timetable of activities, such as exercise classes, music and entertainment, gardening and quizzes.

Residents are involved in planning the menu, with all food being nutritionally balanced and dietary requirements accommodated.
