Cromwell Court Care Home Finalists in Great British Care Awards

Two dedicated members of the team at Cromwell Court Care Home have been named as finalists in the North West Region of the Great British Care Awards, a celebration of excellence across the care sector.

Sindy, Senior Activities Co-ordinator at Cromwell Court Care Home, has been shortlisted in recognition of her creativity, passion, and commitment to enriching the daily lives of residents. Sindy, who has worked at the home for seven years, said:

“I am happy and dedicated. I work hard to bring joy to both residents and staff. My passion lies in creating engaging activities that foster connections and enhance well-being, making every day a little brighter for everyone involved.”

Meanwhile, Lauren has been nominated in the Dementia Carer category, an award that highlights exceptional care and understanding shown to those living with dementia. Reflecting on her journey, Lauren said:

“When starting my role at Cromwell Court I had no awareness of dementia, but my experience has taught me the importance of understanding each individual’s needs and providing the highest standard of person-centred care to improve their quality of life. Over the past few years I have completed my NVQ Level 2 and Six Steps End of Life training, both of which have significantly improved my knowledge and confidence. I am excited to continue building my skills and seeing where this career, which I am passionate about, takes me in the future.”

The North West regional finals of the Great British Care Awards will take place later this year, where Sindy and Lauren will join other individuals from across the care sector in celebrating their achievements.
