Cheese and Wine Paired with Financial Advice

On 10th November 2025 at 6pm, the Oak Lodge Care Home invites the local community to a special Cheese and Wine evening hosted in partnership with Symponia – a national organisation dedicated to supporting families with care funding and planning.

The event promises a relaxed, welcoming atmosphere where guests can enjoy delicious cheese and wine while also gaining valuable insights into planning for later life. Symponia representative and financial advisor Rodney Spiller will be on hand to answer questions about navigating care fees, estate planning, and the options available to families considering future care needs.

Since its launch in 2005, Symponia has guided hundreds of families through some of life’s most sensitive decisions – from securing State and NHS entitlements to finding suitable care homes and arranging legal and financial matters. Their Circle of Trust initiative builds on this commitment, offering reassurance, clarity, and practical solutions during what can often be a challenging time.
